Where to Rent Bicycles on Cape Cod

With so many people choosing to ride a bicycle rather than drive, businesses providing bike rentals in Cape Cod are very popular places indeed!

Cape Cod "Bike Rental Season"

A few Cape Cod bike rental shops are open year round, but most are seasonal only. And a few have sort of an "extended season", meaning they'll open earlier in the spring, or stay open longer in autumn, if the weather is nice.

The bottom line is: If you're going to be here before Memorial Day (late May) or after Labor Day (early September), it's a good idea to call ahead to be sure that your preferred rental shop will be open!

Are Reservations Required?

Not necessarily. However ...

If you'll be here during a peak vacation month (July or August), you might want to make your bicycle rental reservation in advance, just to be sure you won't be disappointed.

That's especially true if you'll be staying in a very two-wheel oriented town like Provincetown, where it seems that 99% of the population prefers pedaling over looking for (and paying for) a parking spot.

Bicycle Rental Rates

Bike rentals generally run from about $10-$12 per hour and up for a basic, no-frills model.

Half-day, full day, multi-day and weekly rentals are also available at most Cape Cod bike rentals shops.
