Sandy Neck Beach - Sandwich, MA
Sandwich Beaches General Information Amenities: Lifeguards, restrooms, shower facilities, and food concessions (on-site or mobile) are available at some beaches in Sandwich - in season only. Parking Fees: From May to September, parking at Sandwich beaches requires a resident parking sticker or payment of a daily fee ($7-$20 per day, depending on beach) at the gate. Public Beaches in Sandwich, MA
Scusset BeachScusset Neck is a large state-managed beach with calm water and plenty of room to spread out or take a walk. Soft sand and a lovely view make it very popular with beachgoers of all ages. - Body of Water: Cape Cod Bay
- Crowd Factor: Lots of visitors, but the size of the beach makes it seem uncrowded.
- Amenities: Lifeguards in season, restrooms and showers, picnic area, handicap access surf chairs.
- Location: Scusset Beach State Reservation, Scusset Beach Road in Sandwich, MA.
- Parking: Very large lot. Daily fee of $7. Be prepared for a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach, and watch for some not-so-sturdy boards in the boardwalk.
Sandy Neck BeachThis spectacular beach spans the towns of Sandwich and Barnstable. Sand is soft, with pebbly areas along the tide line. Waves are normally small, and the views are gorgeous. When the tide goes out, stroll out to the sandbars and plunk your folding chair down. It's the best way to enjoy the "Caribbean-y" feel of this beach!
Town Neck BeachBordering the east entrance to the Cape Cod Canal, this is a great place to sun, swim, kayak and watch boats going into and out of the Canal. Town Neck has a mix of sand, rocks and pebbles, with rock jetties, a nice view, sand dunes, and calm water. Popular with teens. - Body of Water: Cape Cod Bay
- Crowd Factor: Lots of room, so usually doesn't feel crowded.
- Amenities: No lifeguards, and no amenities other than restrooms. Short walk to the beach. Handicap access surf chair available - call (508)888-0525 to reserve.
- Location: Off Town Neck Road in Sandwich.
- Parking: Large lot. Daily fee ($10).
East Sandwich BeachEast Sandwich Beach a beautiful spot on the Bay, hidden behind the dunes. Soft sand, calm waters, and a great view make this a popular yet tranquil-feeling place to relax. - Body of Water: Cape Cod Bay
- Crowd Factor: Busy, but usually no crowded feel.
- Amenities: No lifeguards, and no amenities other than restrooms. Short walk over a sloping dune to the beach. Handicap access surf chair available - call (508) 888-0525 to reserve.
- Location: Off North Shore Blvd. in Sandwich
- Parking: Limited number of spaces. Daily fee ($10).
