Where Can I Go Clamming?

Question: Where are open clamming areas?

Dee's Reply: Hi! Each town on Cape Cod
determines its own open and closed clamming areas. So firstly, you'll need to decide which town you'd like to dig your clams in.

Then, contact that town's shellfishing office. They'll be able to tell you which areas in town are currently open for shellfishing and what the legal clamming days are.

Here's a link to my Cape Cod clamming information page. On that page you'll find information about clam digging in each town, along with contact information and website links for the town's shellfishing department.

I hope this helps. Feel free to get back to me if you have any other questions.

Happy clam digging!!

Dee

P.S. Don't forget - you must have a shellfishing permit from the town to dig clams legally.
