Now, imagine having an inside source on Cape Cod, a local you can turn to with those vexing vacation-planning questions like:

  • What's the best town to stay in?

  • Where are the most beautiful beaches?

  • Which tourist attractions are really worth our time and money?

Well ... imagine no longer. I'm here for you!

Vacation Planning Basics

Hello! I'm Dee, your inside source here on beautiful Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

On my first visit to the Cape back in the 1980s, I was lucky to have someone who lived here to show me around.

We sunned on the prettiest beaches I'd ever seen. We visited famous sites that I'd read about in the glossy tourism magazines. And we pigged out on the fresh  seafood nearly every night.  What a great vacation!!!

But even with a Cape Codder to guide me, I quickly discovered that two weeks wasn't nearly enough time to take it all in!

Now, after 20+ years as a "washashore", I'm the one who's showing visiting family and friends all around the Cape.

[Washashore:  The local term for a Cape Cod resident who was born somewhere else.]

Trying to experience the best of the Cape in a short amount of time - it's a challenge, that's for sure. But with a little bit of planning and plenty of local knowledge on your side, it can be done!

Welcome to My CapeDays Guide

Since I began this site back in 2008, CapeDays has become the go-to Cape Cod guide for vacationers and locals alike ... going above and beyond the typical tourism site to bring you all the information you need to plan your best vacation ever.

Curious about something specific to your upcoming vacation?  With my super-popular "Ask Me a Question" feature, you're welcome to drop me a quick note and I'll get back to you with personalized information and ideas to help you out.

Oh, and by the way ... I realize that your vacation time and dollars are precious. I'm cost-conscious, too! So be on the lookout for lots of savings tips from little ol' me throughout the pages of my site.

Okay, now let's get to it. It's time to plan the Cape Cod vacation of your dreams!

The best beach vacations begin with awesome  waterfront accommodations.

Top choices range from incredibly inexpensive oceanfront camping to moderately priced hotels and vacation rentals only steps from the water's edge.

It's easy to see why the famous "Dr. Beach" regularly names Cape Cod on his Top 10 Beaches  list!  From toddlers to teens, singles to seniors, there's a perfect Cape Cod beach for every visitor.

Better still: you can visit most of our public beaches admission-free, year round. (Here's how ... )

Rest assured, you'll never lack for fun and interesting places to visit and things to do here on the Cape, no matter what time of year you visit.

Here are 22 Free Activities and Attractions to get you started ... and Special Events to round out your stay.

With the right discount passes and coupons in your pocket, you'll save a good chunk of change on area attractions, restaurants and shopping.
